Prof: yes it is Captain its one of his faves that everyone will know

Scarlet: *starts to drum his fingers in time with the music, singing along quietly, for once not worrying about anyone seeing or hearing him*

Prof: looks like you are doing a good job there Mike
Mike: why thank you my love

Didn't want to leave, eh? Obviously you mean someplace other than Camden, New Jersey... also because you're not wearing any body armor...

Lime: *Coming back from the snug with a plate*
Silver: *Following her out with another plate* We're back now, Captain, do you still want to buy us lunch?

Scarlet: Lunch? I'm still eating my breakfast! *looks up at the clock* It's hardly "brunch" time yet, let alone lunch!

Lime: I don't know why he mentioned lunch - he's only just finished breakfast.
Silver: Hey, I might be still hungry! Nothing wrong with that is there?

Scarlet: And to think that I've been called "greedy" on occasion - at least I have an excuse! I mean a reason.

Silver: I'm not greedy!
Lime: *Pats his shoulder sarcastically* Of course you're not... you have a very healthy appetite that's all, isn't it?
Silver: *Ignoring her sarcasm* That's right, Lily. Now if you don't mind, I have to give my plate back. Want a drink?
Lime: I'll have a glass of Rose wine, please. *Smiles at him as she watches him walk away*

Scarlet: That's a song I haven't heard before, Captain Madder; the only ones I seem to hear lately are either by ELO... or that awful song that Ochre and Tourmaline enjoy annoying me with.
Burgundy: Which one is that?
Scarlet: 'One Step Beyond'. Don't look at me like that - it's terrible!

Silver: *Coming back with Lime's wine and a pint of beer* I don't think they play songs you dislike just because it annoys you, Scarlet.
Lime: No, but the thing is it's very easy for Ochre to wind him up.
Silver: *Gives her a warning glance and whispers in her ear* Be careful with what you say next.
Lime: It's true! All that he has to do is be in the same room as him and Scarlet starts shouting.

Scarlet: *shoving aside his empty plate* I have a little more patience than that if you don't mind, Captain Lime. In any case, Captain Ochre knows just how to get under my skin...

Silver: Lily, you have a nerve to have a go at him for his lack of patience, what's yours been like recently?
Lime: At least I have a good reason to not have much patience, the way Rick and Pete annoy him is by playing Madness in the officers' lounge and sing along!
Silver: And what's your 'good reason', then Lily?
Lime: I thought that was obvious, Jason. When I come here I want to enjoy myself and play my piano, but some people don't let me...

Scarlet: Captain Lime, I like a variety of music. I get fed up with hearing the same things over and over again, as if the officers of Spectrum are too... poor to be able to afford more than one album between them! I used to complain about the music that you and Captain Burgundy force on the rest of us, but at least you do play more than one album per month... and you don't play certain songs on a loop, either.

Lime: The trouble is, Scarlet, that there isn't much choice after people have said how awful certain songs and bands are-
Silver: *Nudges Lime*
Lime: *Holds her hands up and looks at Silver and Scarlet in turn* I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me.
Silver: *Mutters* Maybe it's the wine.
Lime: No, I think what I need is some fresh air. *Goes through to the beer garden*

Scarlet: *grumbling* Perhaps she should try eating her favourite meal every day for a month, and see if she still likes it after that... Perhaps she'll see what I mean, then.
Burgundy: Music's like food, is it?
Scarlet: *nods* Very much so! It gets boring if you hear too much of the same thing - variety is the spice of life, as they say.
Burgundy: Well, I've heard people say that you'll eat anything, but...
Scarlet: You know what I meant and you know that I'm right - I'd be willing to bet that you'd even get bored with ELO if you didn't listen to other music in between.

Silver: *Tries not to laugh* Don't you start, Burgundy! You're meant to keep this pub running smooth and calm... *Downs his beer and tries to change the subject* Can I have another? And maybe some pancakes? I know it's not Shrove Tuesday, any more...

Burgundy: Certainly, Captain.
Scarlet: Put it on my tab, Lieutenant; along with a hot chocolate - one of those with the whipped cream, if you'll be so kind.
Burgundy: When exactly do you plan on paying off your tab? You still owe money from last year!
Scarlet: When Spectrum starts to give me my earnings, rather than charging me for SPVs and uniforms! Until then, I'll just have to assist when and as I can, in the hope of paying towards my bill.

Silver: They actually charge you for that? The amount of uniforms that you must get through... *Shakes his head* Oh, can I have two pancakes with maple syrup, sultanas and apricots on them, please Captain?

Scarlet: And I'll have some of those honey and black pepper parsnip crisps that I can see hanging from the beam above the bar, if you please.
Burgundy: Do you two ever stop eating?
Scarlet: Yes! When I'm asleep.

Silver: Scarlet, she was only joking... *Notices the sound of a door close behind him and turns around* Oh, Hello, Lime... Nice outside?
Lime: *Smiles and nods, then starts to walk towards him* Yes, it was very nice *Sits up to the bar next to him* It wasn't very cold out. *Rubs her hands together* Could I have a glass of water, please Burgundy?

Burgundy: Certainly, Captain Lime. Would you like anything else, Captains Scarlet and Silver?
Scarlet: No, thank you. I wouldn't want to appear greedy, would I?
Burgundy: Captain, I was just pulling your leg. *hands him a hot chocolate* This one's on the house.

Burgundy: Certainly, Mads.
Scarlet: Just be warned - it's hot. I burnt my mouth on the sample I tried earlier.
Burgundy: Good thing you're indestructible, then... Wait a minute! What sample?

Lime: Probably as in cooked, Madder.
Silver: *Tries not to laugh* That's what you get, Scarlet! *Notices Lime shiver out of the corner of his eye* I thought you said it wasn't cold out... *Puts an arm around her* Lily! You're freezing!
Lime: I said it wasn't very cold out. Anyway, I wasn't going to say how cold it was, after being out there for fifteen minutes. *Crosses her arms* I'm fine, though.
