Setting up your RPG profile and getting started
Those of you that have never taken part in an RPG in which you have to set up a profile (join the club!) and don't really know what it all means, this is what this section's for. I'm going to try to make it as simple as possible, while explaining as much as I can. However, seeing as this is a new thing for me as well, I might leave things out or not explain things as well as I aim to. If this happens, don't hesitate to ask questions!
First of all, I'm sure you can all see a couple of lines about my character, Captain Burgundy, at the bottom of my profile (under my avatar). If you want to take part in the RPG, please start by setting up your character profile. It doesn't involve a great deal - you have three fields to fill in:
To start, go to your profile page and click on the last tab to the right (the second "Profile" tab). I can't remember the exact wording, but it should basically tell you that you haven't enabled your RPG profile yet, and do you want to continue; I assume that you do, so click "yes". The fields shown above should come up the moment you click "yes".
You now have to name your character, decide whether (s)he is an agent of Spectrum, the Mysterons or a civilian. Civilians in this case are simply on neutral ground - they could be from a different military organisation.
In the case of President Younger, he is actually responsible for keeping the game running smoothly, hence the bit about "Keeping the World turning". You are required to listen to him, regardless of what your character's role is or whether (s)he works for Spectrum or not.
