Update Report Blog

Hello, as you have probably gathered from the posts in the Communication Station, there is a new section called the Library for any fan fictions. I have now finished publishing "Not Even in My Wildest Dreams". I hope you enjoy it.

I have added a new information page regarding the SPVs in the Craft section of Cloudbase.

I have also edited every page slightly, as I have found that the footer was a little dominating, especially on smaller screens.

I have added a new scoring system to the forum; it's called "reputation".

Basically, a particularly entertaining or helpful post in a thread can be "thanked" (don't do this lightly because I think only one post per thread can be "thanked" and it gives the poster quite a points boost. Use it as a way to give credit where it's due.) and any number of posts can get positive and negative feedback. All you have to do is to click on the + or - to the upper right of the message.

You might remember that I had some reviews up on the website, before the revamp. Well, with the way that we've changed things, that reviews section would look rather odd if I were to put it back. On top of that, you'd all be forced to read my own thoughts on the books, games, audio adventures, etc. and might not agree with me.

Captain Lime's suggestion was to remove the old review pages and to put them here on the forum instead, which will give everyone a chance to submit their own views. I've transferred my old reviews over to the new reviews section, added a new one, and also moved...

I have created a footer and added it to every page, which includes a site map and a legalities page.

In addition, I have also added extra pages to the reports pages to make them slightly more readable.

Due to increased security on the part of our hosts, I have been able to give permission for guests to post to the important sections of the forum (suggestions, technical help, etc.).

I may actually add a section specifically for guests as well. Perhaps the regular guests would like to comment?

The forum icons have been modified. Though the change is only a minor one, I do think that it makes quite a difference.

There are more changes to come, which will be applied to the main site by September.

As you might be aware if you've been following the "We're Back Online" thread, this site is going through some major changes. The homepage, forum, etc. have been adjusted to look like Lieutenant Green's computer; while the pages dedicated to "Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons" have their own theme and are accessible via the "Cloudbase" button.

I have added a place in which you can submit any suggestions or ideas that you might have had regarding the site.

It doesn't matter what it is that you might come up with; I can assure you that you won't be ridiculed. We won't necessarily be able to act on everything that is submitted - it would depend on how possible/practical it is.

The site is going through some major changes, as the "We're Back Online" thread might suggest.

Though we don't have a huge amount on show as of yet, there will be plenty taking shape within the coming months.

Firstly, I don't want anyone to think they have been removed permanently; it's just that many of the stories needed some tweaking and others required an overhaul.

I am also debating leaving old fan fics, such as Singing Sword, entirely and moving on.

Lady in Red will most certainly be left, but replaced by a very different story when it's ready, as I have done away with the character that featured in the story.

There is yet another button on the "corridor" page. This time for Captain Blue's Quarters. Please take a look and let me know what you think.

There are now two buttons in the ".corridor" - Captain Scarlet's quarters have been put up. Like Lieutenant Lake's quarters, you can learn things about the captain by clicking around. I hope you like what I have done.

Seeing as the forum is already moderately accessible via Facebook, I thought it might be a good idea to go whole hog and make a specialised group on there.

Yes, CSS is going to have a wiki page. In case anyone would like to help to build it, or add to it later on, I'll put a help section on it up. I haven't done very much yet, but once I feel that I have enough to share, I shall add the link before making it completely official (adding a button on the hompage, etc.)

We now have a section for merchandise information. So far, I have the 1993 board game described in moderate detail.
